Resolved Question: Book suggestions?
Hey I'm 15 and I love reading. I'd really love a comprehensive classic/ "sophisticated" reading list.
I've read all the Young Adult books, like Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and some Jane Austins but what I'm looking for is more on the level of:
Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
The Millenium Trilogy (LOVE THIS) - Stieg Larsson
The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoevsky
Le Petit Prince - Antoine de Saint - Exupéry
The Namesake - Jhumpa Lahiri
The Old Man and the Sea - Ernest Hemingway
(Btw, I've read these books already, but yeah - are there any books you can recommend me along those lines?)
thank you! OH! And George Orwell's Animal Far +1984 and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien Thank you to everyone who answered for the great suggestions! I'm sure to have a fantastic time going through them! :)
Emily's Descent: On George Eliot's works, I actually have not read her novels, but have gone through her poems. Thank you for your suggestion, but please don't demean my own list. I did not find it necessary to list every single classic book I've ever read, as this isn't a matter of bragging rights. I simply want to find books to enjoy that are tailored to my specific interests. I am reading Anna Karenina at the moment though.

Resolved Question: Anyone up for a movie
Okay seeing as it is October, I might do a survey, perhaps every month or so. If a question is pure lame, just tell me and skip it.
1. Halloween is at the end of October. Can you tell me some of your favourite horror movies?
2. Oktoberfest ends in the first week of October. Favourite movie(s) from Germany?
3. In the UK, it is Children's Book Week currently. Favourite movie that was adapted from a book?
4. What Edward Zwick film do you prefer: Glory or Blood Diamond?
5. Best movie you have seen so far this month?
6. All-time favourite cult director?
7. Can you name three films that you think deserve more attention?
8. What's your 10th favourite movie?
9. What 1992 film do you prefer, Unforgiven or Reservoir Dogs?
10. Quick movie vs movie
Watchmen vs A.I Artifical Intelligence
Saving Private Ryan vs Silence Of The Lambs
Your favourite Christian Bale film vs your favourite Edward Norton film (can you please tell me what they are)
The Crow vs Dark City
BQ: Sweeney Todd vs Sleepy Hallow? (ignore my picture, I pretty much like those movies equally)
BBQ: Last movie you watched (for the first time), could you please rate it out of 10, and whether or not it was enjoyable? Oh just ignore that ''quick'' part and comparethe below films. John Crisp: I love The Crow and Dark City equally... and I'm sure fans of Alex Proyas do too. Both are great films.
hey everyone :)
