Resolved Question: Central American boas?
I need some information on central American boas. I want to get one but I don't know much about them. Somebody I know is getting rid of theirs for 50 bucks with a cage and all. Please help me out with some information about these beautiful snakes. I need to know how big they get, proper caging, feeding, and if the can be handled a lot. Any other information will be helpful as well! Thank you!

Resolved Question: Questions about my Boa?
I bought my 3 year old female Boa just today, I handled her as soon as I met her as I wanted her to get used to me and she was fine all day. Then I put her in her Viv to settle in and chill out (temp was just over 80 at that time as the nights got cooler it has dropped to 75+) and then when I got her out after a couple of hours she started to make hissing noises and wheeze like sounds. At one point she opened her mouth briefly and it made me a little shakey incase she was about to bite me. She is also going through her shedding cyle (think shes getting close to the end). So my qyestions are: Should I leave her for a while to let her settle? What is the best temp for her because right now it is just over 75ish? And how do I know if they are grumpy and will strike? I grew up watching Steve Irwin's tv shows and documentaries so I remember some info but others are blurry so needed to ask to be more aware. This is my first snake too.
