Open Question: Other than reparations and
Because neither of those reasons are good enough to justify changing an established white character into a POC. The original fairy tale has nothing to do with this. The movie is a live-action version of the 1989 cartoon so it should strive to be as close as possible to that, not the original Hans Christian Anderson story.

Open Question: Why didn't Disney make Ariel
Since Ariel was OBVIOUSLY always meant to be a POC because they cast one to play her in the live-action version, why didn't they make her one in the original cartoon? Hmm? I would be perfectly fine with the casting of Halle Bailey if Ariel was a POC in the cartoon.

Open Question: Why do people have a rebuttal

Open Question: Why are there no young white
Since singing talent is all that mattered to Disney when they cast Halle Bailey as Ariel that must mean that there are absolutely NO young white girls that can sing or else Disney would've picked one. Why is that? Why are the only young girls that can sing not white? You don't need to say anything about me already asking this question because I know I did. The only reason I'm re-asking it is because it got deleted.
