Resolved Question: Do Fundamental Principles
...Chinese President Hu Jintao?
In the "Fundamental Principles of Olympism" as can be read on the official Olympic website, it states:
1. Olympism is a philosophy of life, exalting and combining in a balanced whole the qualities of
body, will and mind. Blending sport with culture and education, Olympism seeks to create a
way of life based on the joy of effort, the educational value of good example and respect for
universal fundamental ethical principles.
2. The goal of Olympism is to place sport at the service of the harmonious development of man,
with a view to promoting a peaceful society concerned with the preservation of human dignity."
How can the IOC President bear to sit next to a man like that who is responsible for atrocities in Tibet and re: Falun Gong? Allowing Heads of State who've got blood on their hands to attend the opening ceremony, like George W. Bush, his father & ex-Australian Prime Minister John Howard. What a farce and a joke. It makes a mockery of the Olympic Charter IMO. Agree???
