Resolved Question: James Patterson or John
I am in a high school book club and need to pick out the first author, so which of the two do you think would attract more attention and will get people really into the books. Also could you leave your favorite book of the chosen author.

Resolved Question: Thoughts on James
He is a very well known children's author and I have finished reading 2 novels of his. 1. Maximum Rode - The Angel Experiment and 2. Witch & Wizard.
All I have to say is that he is overrated. His writing is okay but there is too much action and little 'feelings' involved. And when there are feelings he doesn't make us feel the character, instead he tells us.
In a nutshell, what do you think of James Patterson?

Resolved Question: Comprehending 2nd Chance
I read the book 2 times and can't quite figure out how to explain the setting and atmosphere other than the general area of San Francisco, also the climatic scene (rising action) and any unique phrases Patterson uses I can't pick out any.

Resolved Question: What do you think of the
In our local bookstore, there's a whole aisle dedicated to his works. I haven't really counted the exact number of his works but I'd figure it'd more or less amount to a hundred or so. I also read maybe 3-4 of his books before I finally got tired of him.
He's not really that good in writing, is he? He's more of a "Stephanie Meyer" type of author, one who simply knows the current trend in readers and would write novels to meet that demand. They're not exactly good writers, merely intuitive to the public demand. I've read better works the likes of Sheldon, Orwell, and Crichton.
What do you think of James Patterson? Am I the only who thinks he's much too overrated in the book scene?
