Resolved Question: Do believers of psychics
If they really had supernatural abilities to display, they would be able to snake that $1,000,000 prize away from James Randi - and the best part of it would be, the money wouldn't have to be their motivation. Their motivation could be showing the world that supernatural phenomenon exist, which, IMO, would enrich everyone's lives.
So why don't so-called "psychics" and such do that, I wonder? ;)
(Actually I don't wonder, it's because they're all low-level con artists who can't trick skeptics.)

Resolved Question: Is the James Randi
Peter: Really how? The Randi Challenge isn't scientific is it? How can an unscientific organisation claim to disprove something on a scientific basis? Why doesn't James Randi start with a $1 million challenge to scientists to prove that consciousness exists? How many millions of dollars have been spent by scientists trying trying to understand and prove it's existence, yet we all know it exists! :-) The hardest thing to do scientifically is to understand and prove the obvious. Dr.Nice Guy: To anyone claiming the JREF is corrupt and the prize phony, why are the other worldwide challenges unclaimed?
Galactum: Probably because they are about debunking too and not scientifically discovering the truth about a given phenomena. The criteria for successfully gaining acceptance of paranormal abilities in these groups is higher than those used by scientific institutions! What would be considered a positive or exceptional result would simply be claimed as unsuccessful or false by these same groups. It's like saying a person who cannot leap over a 20 foot wall is unable to provide evidence or proof that he can jump! Dr, Nice Guy: For most of us, the fact we are here and know it, is proof of consciousness.
Galactum: I think your confusing consciousness with existence! I exist, but does that prove by itself that I or anyone else has consciousness? King Tut: Even if Uri Geller and Homeopathy were proved to be fakes how does that disprove the paranormal? That's based on false assumptions. eri: No one has ever been able to show that anything paranormal exist.
Galactum: Thats simply untrue and shows a lack of research on your part chocolah: You cannot prove a negative. What Randi is doing is permitting anyone who is interested to prove the affirmative.
Galactum: I'm not trying to prove a negative, i'm saying that lack of a positive (the criteria for which has been ridiculously 'calibrated' to debunk) does not disprove that evidence which over whelmingly states that there are indeed things outside the normal range of experience or mainstream science. However, as science is relative...:-) ....many things which were once 'outside of it' will become mainstream as our knowledge and experience of life, the universe and everything expands. chocolah: If there is a person who affirmatively can read minds, or see the future, or levitate objects, that person can make himself very rich by doing so in a controlled setting. Why wouldn't anyone want to do that?
Galactum: Now that's a scientific question! But the Randi Institute isn't interested in that question! It isn't concerned with theories and mechanisms behind such phenomena only the promise of an unrealistic cash prize. Could it be that most if not all of those people entering the 'Prize' are only interested in gaining money rather than acceptance or evidence? Could the cash prize be sucking in the fakes rather than the legitimate psychics? Perhaps the majority of psychics do have such powers but not to Randi's high standards? Perhaps it's the real psychics who can see behind the motives of the Institutes organisers? Such reasons, of which they are many, should be part of the real scientific analysis of such phenomena.

Considering his position on astrology, do you think the information given is accurate? (I know the page says the data is in question, with a C rating.) In other words, does the chart fit?
