Open Question: Has anyone read any of John
I was wondering if they were at all slow. I've never read spy books before and I'm a slow reader so it takes me a little bit to get into something. And, which book should I start with? I mean I was wondering which le carré book to read first. I have seen the tinker tailor soldier spy movie but didn't know if I should read that book first or another.

Resolved Question: John Le Carré:
John Le Carré: Smiley’s People Test What does these quotes mean? 1. Tell him I have two proofs and can bring them with me (72). 2. And no cigarettes in his pocket (89). 3. He’s grown up. He doesn’t need a vicar any more (123). 4. He came up with what the lapsed philologist in him described as the asterisk (or putative) form of the letters A-C-H-T (150). 5. The Sandman is making a legend for a girl (186). 6. Some bad fellow had betrayed him back in Estonia (232). 7. . . . one old gym-shoe, green, with the lace still in it (249). 8. It will do worse than kill him (258). 9. I have come from London to help you in his place (268). 10. . . . madness to believe that by killing three people he could stop the leak (287). 11. Grigoriev remained frozen over this last photograph (347). 12. Grigoriev was to give it to Krassky tonight or whenever they met (385).

Resolved Question: What is your favourite
I love reading his novels and watch the many films that have been made from his stories. have not yet been to the remake of Tinker, Tailor..., loved the old one with Alec Guiness. Will soon go to watch the new movie, of course. Recently read his novel Our Game and bit dissapointed with the story... I love Le Carre's books although the one above was not so good for me.. Share your thoughts..here
