I originally was familiar with Mahershala Ali because he played Remy Danton in House Of Cards, supporting actor to Spacey ad lead actor. However around the time he left the show, he won Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Moonlight (2016) and then has now won another Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Green Book (2018) Its difficult see the show knowing that the supporting character Mahershala Ali has surpassed the lead actor Kevin Spacey.

Someone on here calls me a hypocrite because I dislike Spacey because of what he did, yet I very much admire Mel Gibson as an actor and director Is Gibson worse than Spacey? The fact that Gibson is still acting and directing kinda show something, Spacey has just disappeared

They both have played (or sort of) played oil billionaire J Paul Getty Spacey originally played him In All The Money In The World (2017), before being replaced by Christopher Plummer, though I admit I would have been Interested in how Spacey played it. Donald Sutherland played the role brilliantly in the show Trust (2018), he actually looks like the real Getty It is amazing how Sutherland has never been Oscar nominated, despite being in over 100 films and famous roles

I was in a DVD store today and two people were talking about American Beauty (1999) one hadn't seen the film and the other guy was talking about it. He says that Spacey was good in the film and won an Oscar He aaud how his character goes a bit mad and lusts after friends daughter The guy then said 'that isn't like Spacey, because Kevin Spacey is a gay pedophile' It is that sort of what people say that is putting me off watching his films etc. I think he is over and its a bit sad he is evil because, he is my wife's favourite actor and I liked House Of Cards and there was several films I wanted to watch of his and the rest of House Of Cards Does everyone hate Spacey?, this is why I'm reluctant to watch anything of his. I'm reduced to liking Christopher Walken, all he does is straight to DVD crap

Is it possible to rate Spacey as an actor despite the controversy? He is my wife's favourite actors, she has seen many of his films and she still considers him her favourite. Me however, I have barely seen any of his films but I loved House Of Cards, easily my favourite modern TV series, it was watchable because of Spacey's character. Is it OK to like Spacey as an actor? Though he has not been charged or arrested with anything yet. I am probably finished with him now, I am losing interest in film and TV now
