Open Question: Thoughts on Aurora by Kim
Many people think this book is the best sci fi of 2015. The plot is very good, with quite unique characters, but I feel as though half of the content belongs in an encyclopedia instead of a novel. What did you think of it?

Resolved Question: Humans on other planets?
if humanity settled on other planets would those planets be under earths power and follow the government of Earth or would they be independent whats the law for this say like humans settle on mars and form a government would that government fall within earths power and be controlled by Earth or would they be independent also would the resources from Mars be taken back to Earth or not im just curious

Resolved Question: Fiction (or rather,
I'm used to reading mostly fiction, but I'm looking for books that have more of a foundation in science (biological science, physics, psychological, anything). I'm not looking for research papers or all-out documentary style non-fiction; hopefully something that has some kind of a story line too. For example, Kim Stanley Robertson writes ficitonal books, but his topics are very well researched and mostly scientifically sound.

Resolved Question: What's the title of this
Ugh i really don't have much information to offer as I read this book a long time ago but i clearly remember the title being just a number like 2000 something because the book was about the future. The cover was black i think and had ice on it and maybe people like in the background. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANK YOU :) Okay i remember a little bit more I think it was a ceremony they had to go to or something kind of like the hunger games but not that at all and some kids were choosen to go and idk The genre was somewhere along the lines of science fiction I mean i read this when i was in elementary school probably 5th grade so it was published probably around 2006-2007
