I have to analyze a poem and I have chosen Lou Reed's "Chelsea Girls"
I know it has to do with the residents of the hotel during the 1960's but what exactly do the lines of the poem mean.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me analyze this poem, I am terrible with poetry and I have to write a compare and contrast paper about 2 poems :/

Open Question: Did Lou Reed do drugs in the
This is kind of a stupid question, but I'm kind of going through cognitive dissonance here. There are people who say he definitely was, while there are others who say that, in reality, he didn't do drugs at all or at least didn't do drugs that much. So, I'm curious since there's apparently no general consensus (somehow). I'm gonna say that, honestly, I kind of find the latter hard to believe. I know how he died from liver disease due to alcohol abuse and Hepatitis C, but I'm having trouble with people like David Bowie, John Cale, and Sterling Morrison stating he took drugs while the writer Legs McNeil and whoever wrote Reed's obituary for the Economist state he didn't take drugs and just wrote about drugs and drug addicts. I'm just stuck with asking which one is true. Weird I know, but it was kind of confusing.

Resolved Question: In Memory of Lou Reed?
Any song in remembrance of this great musician of the The Velvet Underground or solo..
My homage...One if not the best intro's into any song. 1974 live album Rock 'n' Roll Animal.
Sweet Jane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoytmVwcsB4
Venus in Furs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLQzaLr1enE
Rock & Roll http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs0BxTmQXA0 First of all every single answer is a BEST answer.
@MacBryan you are dead on, Coney Island Baby will always be Lou's timeless everlasting Beauty.
@Melting Yes as Detroiters to us nobody on earth did R&R in general like us, my man Jim McCarty (The Wheels, Rockets, Cactus) who for some unknown reason hardly gets a mention for being among the best Blues guitarists. Guess he's our hidden Gem.
@Ms Lety excellent live version of Venus in Furs.
@Patrick M I It seemed that in the wee hours WABX would always play Walk On The Wild Side when it came out and I used to go to bed stoned, headphones in place and loved it even more.
Thanks To Everybody!
