Resolved Question: Mahmoud Abbas calls Iran
And says he wants more closeness to it. Mahmoud Abbas is the supreme leader of Palestine. Why does he suddenly love Iran so much? Are there any shared values?

Resolved Question: Does Mahmoud Abbas want
The Israel Lobby claims Mahmoud Abbas doesn’t want peace, and that he has a hidden agenda. They claim that once a Palestinian state has been established, the Palestinian Authority will use this state to wage war against Israel. Let’s examine their “evidences”.
Mahmoud Abbas said a couple of years ago: “We are praying for the souls of our martyrs who fell today to the shells of the Zionist enemy”. He also referred to militants as “freedom fighters”. This happened after an Israeli tank killed seven young Palestinians (source: ArabNews.com).
Mr. Abbas also wrote a controversial letter of condolence to Abo Daoud’s family, when he died in 2010. Abo Daoud was the mastermind behind the Munich massacre in 1972. The letter says: “He is missed. He was one of the leading figures of Fatah and spent his life in resistance [against the occupation] and sincere work as well as physical sacrifice for his people's just causes” (source: CNN.com).
In January Mahmoud Abbas caused controversy when he alleged a very close link between Zionists and Nazis during the holocaust. This conspiracy theory is taken from a doctoral thesis he wrote at a russian university in the early eighties, entitled The Other Side: The Secret Relation Between Nazism and Zionism. That same doctoral thesis also contains holocaust denial! (source: HuffingtonPost.com).
So far I’ve been quoting sources which do not maintain any Zionist agenda. But I wanted to include an interview with Mahmoud Abbas taken from the Zionist netpage Palwatch.org. (Sorry, I can’t make this link clickable, but you can copy it to the address bar). http://www.palwatch.org/site/modules/videos/pal/videos.aspx?fld_id=140&doc_id=459
According to Palwatch’s interpretation, Mr. Abbas admits here that he has sent people to kill Israelis. But even though I don’t understand Arabic, I still find the subtitles somewhat strange. The reason is that Palwatch keeps adding explanations between parenthesis in the subtitles. A serious journalist wouldn’t put words into somebody’s mouth like Palwatch does. And perhaps the clip is taken out of context?
Here’s my attempt to consider these issues from a pro-Palestine viewpoint.
1. The Israeli government’s cruel and inhumane treatment of Palestinians must be condemned. Israel has committed far worse crimes than the Palestinians ever did. And these crimes must be condemned, even if Mr. Abbas wants war.
2. It could be that Mahmoud Abbas is applying empty threats against Israel in order to regain some popularity among Palestinians who otherwise would have supported the Hamas.
3. Right wing Israelis should not be so over-focused on Mahmoud Abbas’ controversial statements. Instead, they should remove the number one reason for the hatred, which is the occupation. Maybe Mr. Abbas will quit saying such hostile things after the Palestinians have received their freedom?
4. The Palestinian view on Mahmoud Abbas is entirely different. They often see him as a traitor who has made far too many compromises with Israel.
It is also a fact that Fatah and PLO use symbols and emblems that erase Israel from the map, even the 1948 border. One could say that some of these emblems were designed at that time when there was no negotiation between the parties. But that doesn’t explain everything, ‘cause some of these symbols are quite new. (source: NewYorkTimes.com)
But one cannot ignore that Israeli maps often do not show the border between the state of Israel, and the occupied territories. In other words, Israeli maps erase Palestine. And the zealots use a map showing a so-called “Greater Israel”.
Can someone who is pro-Palestine answer these questions? I’ll be very, very thankful!

Resolved Question: Is it true Mahmud Abbas
I always suspected he is not from Palestine. On the other hand, none of us Arabs are from Palestine, so it´s a proof that Abbas is one one of us.
