Resolved Question: Impact Wrestling
Your reaction to Ronnie's Interview in The New York Post about his appearance on Impact Wrestling?
Forget fist-pumps -- this “Jersey Shore” star is all about the elbow-drops.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, one of the stars of MTV’s hit reality show, took his talents from the dance floors of Karma and Bamboo and brought them into the squared circle for an episode of TNA’s IMPACT! Wrestling.
For Ortiz-Magro, who's gotten into his fair share of scuffles on MTV, getting to be a part of a professional wrestling was an enjoyable endeavor.
“It as really a great experience. I grew up watching it and now I get to see it firsthand and experience it. You get too see that they really work hard,” he told The Post.

Ronnie chats up the upcoming match with TNA’s Knockout Velvet Sky prior to his “match” in Macon, Georgia.
Ortiz-Magro also made sure to debunk the myth of wrestling being fake, noting that the athletes in the ring actually work twice as hard as people think.
“They [the wrestlers] actually do double the work. There is a lot of wrestling that is fake, like the acting part, but it’s very real. These guys take beatings and make it look real," he said. "People think it’s fake because it’s acting, but it’s still authentic."
“Jersey Shore” fans will remember Ortiz-Magro and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino got into a physical altercation this past season in Italy. Ortiz-Magro's punching prowess, however, didn’t help him much in the ring.
“The way they fight and the way I fight are two different things -- when they are fighting there are many different techniques and wrestling maneuvers that they use to keep people from getting hurt,” Ortiz-Magro said.
As far as pursuing a career as professional wrestler, Ortiz-Magro said it wasn’t for him -- he'd rather continue doing “Jersey Shore” and eventually delve into the world of acting.
“I would love to continue doing [‘Jersey Shore’] but I also would like to get into acting, like more of the action/comedy roles," he said. "Some of my favorite actors are Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, someone like Cooper can play so many different roles and I like that."
On the “Jersey Shore” front, Ortiz-Magro said he hasn’t heard anything about another season -- but he said sometimes he learns things on the internet before being notified.
“We’ll be doing New Year’s Eve again this year and the next season will debut early next year, but that’s all I know," he said. "It’s funny, with Italy, I thought we were going back to Miami, but I read online first that we would be going to Florence. You guys must have some really good sources!"
Ortiz-Magro’s cameo on TNA IMPACT! Wrestling will air on Spike TV Thursday Nov. 3 at 9pm EST.
