Resolved Question: Is Chapinero Alto a safe
I am considering attending a language school that is located in this part of Bogota and want to know if this is a good neighborhood to be in. I have travelled to Latin America before and have spent most of my time in Mexico and Ecuador. The only city I have been to in Colombia is Medellin, and that was only for a weekend. What are your thoughts about this neighborhood in particular and Bogota overall in safety terms?
I am especially interested in hearing from those of you who have actually lived in or visited Bogota. I already know all about the negative image that many people have of this country, and I want to hear the real story from people who have first hand knowledge of what the situation is really like.
Also, what are the best places to see in Bogota? Is this a good place to visit in Colombia or would you recommend other cities like Cartagena or even a return visit back to Medellin?

Resolved Question: Traveling to Bogota,
So I'm a 17 year old Canadian Male. In Febuary I have a very close colombia friend coming to Nova Scotia for a student exchange and her family invited me to fly back with her and stay with them for awhile. Her family is very rich and lives in the safe part of Bogota and I trust her very much. But I'm wondering how safe it is in the Streets? Does anyone have any tips for me for flying or buying or eating?

Resolved Question: I am looking to move to
My husband, 2 daughters , and I are looking into moving to bogota Colombia. Both our parents were born in Colombia so they are citizens. We are able to become citizens because of them so we are getting our cedula and Colombian passport. We are going to go to university there and if possible look for jobs. We only have high school diplomas. Can we get a job as an English teacher over there? What do we need in order to get a job as an English teacher? What other types of jobs will we be eligible for?

Resolved Question: What SUV is best in
Can anybody recommend an SUV that will fit in the garages of the Altos de Bogota? We are moving there shortly, and have the option of bringing an SUV with us. Space is of a concern, with roof clearance, and tight turning points - so if anybody has a suggestion, please let us know!
Thanks!
