I'm going to Cyprus and planning to live in Polis for a month. I need a place to stay, an affordable one. I've done some research and learned that: a) According to Numbeo.Com, an average after-tax salary in Cyprus is mere 1200 EUR. b) A monthly rental fee is 400 to 600 EUR in most cases. But let's call it 800 EUR. c) Apartments and villas on AirBNB are ridiculously overpriced (up to 5000 EUR a month and more). Cheaper options, even for 1000 EUR, look too cheap. I'm pretty sure there are possibilities to rent a house maybe not exactly on a coast, but in an adjacent village for adequate money. The question is where to find such advertisements and/or property owners. Of course, I googled a bit, but haven't found really attractive homes. Is there any local who knows contacts of a good real estate agent? Thanks in advance for any advice. Forgot to mention that the trip is planned for September to the mid of October.
