My family and i went to rarotonga and we really enjoyed it!! We enjoyed how it was a big lagoon and not open. We are considering going to another island, i would love to hear about your favourite islands you have been to and what they were like, weather? people? beach? any sharks? My mum wants to go to Fiji but i think Samoa seems cool or tahiti! cheers!!!!! :)

Resolved Question: Advice about Fiji and
Im out travelling for over a year now and in the next four or five months I'm gonna have to head home. Before I do that I would really like to spend 4 or 5 weeks on an island, as Ive had the experience before and loved it. Friends have recommended Fiji to me as obviously there are so many different beautiful Islands that I could visit esp as It'll be quite a while.
I wanted to ask from anyone who's been there or knows about this, Is 5 weeks too long a time? (im happy being a beach bum so dont mind if theres not loads to do!) Its more are the islands different in some way tahts worth exploring? Also a friend mentioned to me that she spent two weeks doing a tour with 'awesome adventures' around the islands. I really dont want to do a big touristy boat tour. Is there anyway I can just get some sort of open return ticket while at Nadi where I can move around at my leisure? Or are there any small local boat charters that you can just pay as you go and not always go with a big company?
I just want a chilled 'island life' experience, with a different culture, small and local where I can really relax for a while and not feel like a tourist on holiday!! any advice on this ir things about fiji in general would be great! Thank you!! :-)
