Resolved Question: What To See In The Tatra
From what my aunt told me we're gonna be staying in Zakopane for 1 week and make day trips from there. We already have a couple places planned. A rafting trip down the Dunajec, Morskie Oko, Valley of the Five Ponds. I'd also like to see some stuff in Slovakia. Liptovske Mara (hike Prosiecka Dolina), Oravsky Castle, Demanovska Cave, and maybe Strbske Pleso. Would we be able to see all those in one day? If not how many trips would it take. I don't wanna have to keep going back and forth cause it's kind of far. If we have to, which one would you recommend skipping? Any other places you would recommend that aren't on my list? Like I said, we're gonna be there for a week.

Resolved Question: Traveling To Slovakia For
I'm going to Poland this summer, and I also plan on visiting Slovakia. Just the northern areas around the Tatra Mountains. Liptovske Mara, Prosiecka Dolina, Demanovska Cave, Strbske Pleso, Popradske Pleso, and maybe soem stuff around Pienniny like Červený Kláštor. Is there any advice you can give me? Anything important I should know?

Resolved Question: How Much Longer Will This
I'm going to Poland this summer, and my aunt has a trip planned to Zakopane. We would be traveling from Czestochowa. I wanna tell her to take a bit of a detour through Slovakia, to Liptovske Mara. 'Cause I wanna hike Prosieka Dolina, and I wanna see Demanovska Cave. We would probably have to camp there for one night, if we're gonna do that hike. It depends what time we get there. It's not that far and days are long, so if we left really early morning, we could make it there in about 2 or so hours, find a place to camp, and still have time to do the hike. Then next morning head to Demanovska Cave for a tour, and then stop at Strbske Pleso and from there head straight to Zakopane. How much of a detour would that be, then if we just drove straight from Czestochowa to Zakopane. My aunt probably won't care as long as my uncle doesn't have to work. BTW we would cross the border via Highway 960, and then take Ozwalda Balzera Rd. to Zakopane. And I really wanna see those places in Slovakia. I'm willing to skip one of the other trips she had planned to see those places in Slovakia. I just wanna know how much of a detour it would be. I tried to map it on Google Earth, 'cause it shows me how many miles, but it takes too damn long!

Resolved Question: Which Itinirary Would Be
So, I'm going to the Poland next summer, and I'm gonna be in the Tatra Mountains, as you already know. I wanna stop at Czorstinski Lake and Pienniny first, so which of these options would be better? Option 1: Drive from Pienniny to Zakopane, spend the night, then in the morning take the gondolla to Kasprowy Wierch, then hike on the Slovakian border about 6 miles to Morskie Oko. Spend the night, then the next morning hike to the summit of Rysy, then cross the border into Slovakia, hike to Strbske Pleso, spend the night, and hike back to Poland in the morning. I don't know how long we're gonna be there, but when we would be ready to leave we would take the border trail back to Kasprowy Wierch, and take the gondolla back to Zakopane. Option 2: Visit Czorstinski Lake and Pienniny, and then drive Highway 41 to Slovakia, and then take 537 to Strbske Pleso, make that our base camp and hike to Morskie Oko from there, and if we have some time throw in dolina Pienc Stawow. This way maybe we'd be able to throw in Liptovske Mara as well. And then we'd take 584 and 520 back to Poland and maybe stop at Oravská Přehrada. I really wanna see Slovakia, like really bad! This way though I might not be able to see Dolina Pienc Stawow, or hike that border trail, and I wouldn't see Zakopane, but I would see more places in Slovakia. What I'm worried about most is leaving the car. If I was traveling alone, I wouldn't have a problem, and I'd plan it out in a way that I could see everything, but I'm gonna be traveling with my aunt and uncle and IDK what they're gonna think of the idea. Driving distances to those places aren't very long, but I don't know about leaving the car. What if it gets stolen or damaged? I don't know how they did it when they went there. I kind of wanna do the second option now so I can see more of Slovakia, but IDK if that'll work for them. If they were to say yes, it wouldn't be a problem. If I was traveling by myself or with my parents, we could do that no problem, but I don't know if my aunt and uncle will wanna do that. Then again, they probably won't care as long as I give them money for gas and other expenses. All that stuff aside though, which option do you think is better? I kind of wanna do the second one, 'cause I've never been to Slovakia, and IDK when I'll get a chance to go to again, so I'd like to see as much as possible. So what should I do? BTW, we would be traveling from Czestochowa, and if we did the second route, it probably wouldn't take more then 4 or 5 hours to get back (counting the stops we would be making).

Resolved Question: Traveling To Tatras. Can
So I'm going to Poland next summer, and I'm gonna be in that Tatras. Here's what I wanna do. I wanna hike to the summit of Rysy, and then cross over the border to Slovakia, and hike all the way up to Strbske Pleso. I thought it was closer, but it turns out it's about a 16 mile hike round trip. There's no way I'll be able to make that in one day, because of the steep mountain terrain. So whether I want to or not I'm gonna have to spend the night. I read that camping is illegal, because they want people to stay at their expensive hotels, so whether I want to or not I'm gonna have to get a hotel for the night, and then hike back in morning. How much is the cheapest hotel in U.S. dollars? Most likely my uncle and my niece would be going with me. My niece would be 15. I know in America, children under 18 are free. Is it the same in Slovakia? I really don't wanna spent too much money. Would it be better to just drive to Slovakia? That's what I was thinking about, but it would be about a 40 mile detour, if we went there by car. And I don't want my aunt and uncle to get pissed off, because their style of travel is different then mine. They just like to go to one place. The hike would be more exciting too. I wouldn't mind going by myself if it was cheaper. I really wanna see that palce too, cause I've never been to Slovakia. What would be better, do the hike or go by car?
