Resolved Question: Taking a trip to the U.K.
Next summer I really want to take a trip over to the U.K. I have wanted to go there for years and now i am finally in a good place financially and time wise to actually make the trip.
So my questions are about safety really. I know there is no such thing as a completely safe city and its not what im really asking. I guess what I mostly want is for someone to sort of give me a feel for what the cities are like over there. I plan to take the trip alone and I was wondering were there cities i should probably avoid going to altogether, what cities would be best to visit, etc. I am really concerned that I may just appear to be a bit lost at points (since i will be). No matter how much I plan my day out and everything i know i will still have that tourist feeling to me and pretty much just place a huge sign over my head that says "hey! easy target!".
I have looked at some of the other answers on this site and it is such a mixed bag. I read things about how none of the cities in the u.k. are safe anymore and how "oh i have no idea what those people are talking about ive lived here all my life and ive never seen danger"
