Resolved Question: Places to live in
Hi,
My partner and I both work in Levenshulme and live in Lancashire so are looking to relocate as the commute is a pain. We have one car between us so need to move somewhere where there are decent transport links for whoever doesn't have the car that day (we work different hours so cannot share lifts).
The main problem is we are struggling to find somewhere which is a decent commute (30-40mins max) which is a desirable place to live. We have considered Sale and Timperley but public transport from here to where we work is still pushing a 40minute commute. Cheadle and Didsbury seem lovely but are out of our price range as we are first time buyers.
Posts saying don't live in Manchester aren't helpful as we love our jobs and need a sensible suggestion on where to live!
Thanks :)

Resolved Question: Where is nice to live in
I may be getting a job working in Widnes and so will be looking to relocate to somewhere in the local area - I know that Chester is supposed to be nice (but about 20 miles away) But where else is nice to live around this area?
Preferably somewhere that isn't teeming with Jeremy Kyle scrotes who hang around on every street corner looking for someone to mug
