Resolved Question: Audition Song For Pirates
Hi, I have an audition for Pirates of Penzance at the end of the week. I have been contemplating auditioning since I am not a fit for the musical at all, but I am encouraged to try by all my lecturers.
I am an alto, with an extremely weak head voice, I am a big belter though. I am hoping to get the role of one of the daughters, so I need an audition song that shows off my comedic ability and something similar to Gilbert and Sullivan style.
I most likely won't audition, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :)

Resolved Question: Do I have a chance to get
My school is doing Pirates of Penzance and the auditions are coming up in about 2 weeks. I have been practicing singing and I'm having a lot of difficulty getting a vibrato in my voice. I know this play is an opperatta and I feel like it would help a lot to sing with vibrato, but i'm just having a lot of trouble with it.... Anyways, any tips to help me get better at it? And do you think I could show up at auditions and sing regularly if I can't get it? Would I have a chance?

Resolved Question: Anyone know about Pirates
Okay, I am kind of like an student teacher at a school and I would with a lot with the drama department. And we are doing Pirates of Penzance. They have been working on it before I came along but I am not fully getting what the entire play is about. I have not seen the kids fully act the entire show. So in parts i am unsure of what they are talking about. Like in Paradox I have no idea what the mood is, what exactly is happening at this moment. How should they feel? It is hard not knowing how they should act is some parts? so any answers would be great! thank you.
