Resolved Question: An American in UK: to
That, is the question.
I am supposed to take a tour of the Lake district with the family, after doing London and Edinburgh and eveyone keeps telling me as to how I must drive to really enjoy it to go to the really nice spots where buses do not go. Now, keeping in mind we dirve on the right side of the road in US and in UK they drive on the left, is it worth driving or is it too much to try? I am fully covered insurance wise and can take the insurance form the car companies, but any incidents may affect the itinerary or personal well being.
Have many Americans driven on UK roads before and how did they find it? doable?

Resolved Question: Visit to Lake District:
Hi, we are planning to visit Lake District, especially Keswick and Windermere and planning to spend about three nights there. Then we are heading to Edinburgh. My question is: how to get to the Lake district the cheapest way? we are from the US and will not drive in the UK.
Do we fly to Edinburgh and then take a train/coach to Windermere or do we take a train from London to Windermere and then head up to Edinburgh? We are planning to visit Edinburgh anyway, and so wanted to find out which one would be cheaper. Thanks.

Resolved Question: Somewhere to hike/camp
Me and my friend are thinking of going camping/hiking somewhere this summer in the U.K.
Only problem is, is that we're tight on budget on transportation there and back, so really we need somewhere close that has available walks and is cheap enough to get too.
We currently live in Gateshead so we decided to look at 'Windermere' as we've been there before but noticed the tickets would be about £50 each
Anyone know of a decent place? Note: We dont have access by car
