Open Question: Downton Abbey - Does anyone
I just found an article about Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley) being the highest paid actress in the world at the moment. Hmm... so, how much does everyone else make I wonder? So if Michelle is making the highest, then Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville & Eliz. McG. & Laura Carmichael (Mary's sis Edith) should all be paid the next level, & personally, I think Maggie Smith is right there next to Michelle Dockery, Maggie's HILARIOUS & makes it so much richer with a comedic twist. If Maggie left it wouldn't even be the same. Whoever left the show by choice are IDIOTS BTW if you happen to find this, DUMMMMMMIES (Dan Stevens) !!! Everyone else upstairs is probably on tier 3 & 4, then lowest may be downstairs, but how can you not love Sophie McShera (sorry if I mis-spell some names) "Daisy", Mrs. Patmore, of course Carson & Mrs Hughes, Bates & Anna. That poor actor playing Thomas, if only he met a woman who he started having feelings for, wouldn't; that be great if he turned straight AND good?? So, anyone also care to guess, who Lady Mary Crawley will marry?? I hope she marries Lord Gillingham not the wealthier one she rescued the pigs with. I'd marry him in a second.... and WHEN are they going to take care of Edith's heart what torture...... she better end up keeping her baby Mr. Fellows, if you please...... Anyone care to guess what's going to happen for season 5?

Open Question: Could this downton abbey
I'm trying to figure out if this actress (Sophie McShera [Daisy] from Downton Abbey) might have had a baby. Prior to Downton Abbey she was in a season of the show Waterloo Road in 2009. This scene was filmed anywhere between May and September 2009 (no way to tell because the show was filmed out of order). Her lower belly looks a bit funny and roundish. The video is worth watching - it's only 43 seconds long and is HD: http://youtu.be/BydnpEd_Y1s?t=6s Here's a screenshot from a different episode. It aired later in the season but could have been filmed earlier. http://i.imgur.com/KfUPK9L.png Her lower belly looks large and rounded. I thought nothing of it until I saw the first episode of the 2008 British drama, Survivors. She was only on screen for less than five minutes, but in that time they only filmed her above the chest; they never showed her belly. They hid her behind props (a large cardboard box, luggage, etc) She could have been pregnant then and postpartum during the filming of Waterloo Road. Obviously, since nobody's ever seen her with a baby, she'd have given it up for adoption. And on twitter, she plays around with a baby doll and her nickname (at least to fellow Downton Abbey actor Brendan Coyle) is "Baby David". In addition, her friend posted a picture of her with a man as a prank with the caption "Is that your baby daddy? I didn't know you'd started your chocolate phase yet. #augbd" Is "augbd" code for "And You Got Baby Daddy" or something similar?

Open Question: Could this actress have had a
Sophie McShera (Daisy) from Downton Abbey. In 2008 she was in the first episode of a British show called Survivors. She was only on screen for five or less minutes, but during those five minutes they filmed her from the chest up (they never showed her belly). For one shot they even had her sitting on a curb as they filmed her from behind, and when she stood up it was to pick up a large cardboard box, which completely obscured her belly. She isn't known to have any children, but she could have given it up for adoption or something. It would explain why she has such large breasts for such a thin person. It would also explain why she pretends to mother a fake baby doll on Twitter (i.e. a coping mechanism) and why her nickname among her friends, as well as with actor Brendan Coyle (Mr. Bates) is "Baby David". Thoughts? Does it sound to you like they were trying to hide a pregnancy during the filming of Survivors?

Resolved Question: Downton Abbey: Who
I got my uni degree in Linguistics. However, as an American, I usually have a pretty hard time telling where specifically in GB people are from when they speak. I thought of it again recently when watching Downton Abbey, because there are a lot of dialect and speech differences even though they're all supposed to be born and raised in Yorkshire. Why? What is a Yorkshire accent nowadays? Why do Alfred and Daisy sound so different from, say, Thomas Barrow and Jimmy? Can you tell where the downstairs cast is from by how they speak? Who is from where in the UK if you can tell, and do they change it to sound more working class? Money and social class seems to matter more in Britain when it comes to how people learn to speak. Finally, is there a dialect or accent that gets joked about or maligned? It seems to be Liverpool?

Open Question: Sophie McShera - Daisy on
In recent months her face has seemed fuller: http://i.imgur.com/IAJtz5v.png And in August she was seen sporting a lower belly bump: http://i.imgur.com/o28dtBM.png http://i.imgur.com/5XgqV9P.png Could she be preggers?
