Resolved Question: Vaclav Havel Quote - Can
Hi,
I'm looking for a translation of the following quotation made by the last president of Czechoslovakia, Vaclav Havel, in its original Czech form. It is a quote from his essay 'Power of the Powerless':
“You do not become a ''dissident'' just because you decide one day to take up this most unusual career. You are thrown into it by your personal sense of responsibility, combined with a complex set of external circumstances. You are cast out of the existing structures and placed in a position of conflict with them. It begins as an attempt to do your work well, and ends with being branded an enemy of society.”
I would like any answers to contain a link to the site you found the translation on, so I know that it hasn't simply been translated with Google Translator. 10 points will be awarded to the first precise translation as soon as I have checked.

Resolved Question: Vaclav Havel Quote - Can
"I really do inhabit a system in which words are capable of shaking the entire structure of government, where words can prove mightier than ten military divisions."
This is a quote of the last president of Czechoslovakia, Vaclav Havel. Could anyone find me a copy of the quote in its original Czech form? I'd like a link posted with the translation, because I don't want any Google Translators. Thanks.

Resolved Question: Vaclav Havel: The Call
please help and answer only if you really know thankyou!
Who was Vaclav Havel?
How different is Havel’s view of politics from the views of mainstream politicians?
What broader forces working in modern European society do you believe shaped Havel’s thinking?
How can Havel’s view of our common humanity and responsibility to conscience help revitalize Western civilization?
