Resolved Question: New York Yankees History:
I have a qestion about Yogi Berra. How did he get the name "Yogi". I mean that wasn't his real name, was it? I mean, where did he get the name "Yogi", was it a nick-name?
And "Goose" Gossage. Where he got that name? And "Yogi" Berra, was that his real name?

Resolved Question: How would I convince
At my high school, we have a Baseball class (it's an English class actually), and we had to get into groups and pick a baseball player to have a presentation on. Our group had Yogi Berra.
The teacher noticed that whenever writers/baseball historians talked about these players, at least one of them called him the greatest baseball player who ever lived. Now, our teacher wants us to argue in front of class for our player (and they are good ones....Babe Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig, Mantle....all the famous ones).
So having Yogi Berra.....well....he's not the best, and he's not close. We can't make a serious argument for him so we want to make it somewhat funny. I was thinking of just comparing his numbers to the best of the other players, and making it sarcastic ("Yogi hit .285 compared to Cobbs .366 average; Yogi had 358 home runs, Ruth had only 714).
Any other ideas?

Resolved Question: At the end of his career,
This is kind of a stretch, but do you guys think Mauer will be considered "better" than yogi berra after Mauer retires? Please support your answer with statistics, events, and most importantly reasoning. I will choose a best answer :) Also, you have to take into consideration mauer's career is nowhere near over. He COULD get multiple rings too.
